Cumbiaton is an Latin American new music style combining Puerto Rican
reggaetón
with latin american cumbia
. The lyrics' themes are basically the same as the cumbia's, but with a touch of sensuality borrowed from reggeaton. In terms of rhythmical tones, it uses the reggeaton base beats, but it has the cumbia's high and middle tones.
