throughout the UK. Launched on the 24th July 2009, the site is run voluntarily by its founder Katy Cowan and includes news, features, events, jobs, tips and opinion pieces.
People can also be added to the site's creative industries directory, something that features businesses from a range of creative fields including public relations

businesses across the UK. Over 50,000 people visit the website every month.
On 4 November 2011, Creative Boom became part of The Guardian
's new Culture Professionals Network - one of many professional networks available on the national newspapers' website.
The idea for Creative Boom came about after its founder Katy Cowan spoke to other freelancers and small businesses on Twitter
and realised there was a need for a creative community online. Somewhere people could meet, greet, share ideas, raise their profiles and secure more work.
Since its inception, Creative Boom has been recognised by some of the UK's biggest organisations, including Creative England and Arts Council England
