The arterial section of County Road 9 begins at the intersection of Martin Road and Midway Road (CR 13) in Canosia Township and continues eastbound along Martin Road to the intersection of Arnold Road (CR 34) with Martin Road (CR 10). Martin Road serves as an east–west arterial route between Midway Road and Jean Duluth Road (CR 37) on the northern edge of Duluth, and serves as a truck route. This western segment of County Road 10 is 3.2 miles (5 km) in length. The eastern segment of County Road 10 begins at the intersection of Jean Duluth Road (CR 37) and West Tischer Road (CR 2), 1.2 miles (1.9 km) north of where the western segment of County Road 10 terminates.
