On the 12th of June 2011 it was announced in the Bombay High Court that the West India Football Association would be given the right to renovate the Cooperage Ground. Then in August 2011 it was rumored that the Cooperage would not be fully renovated till the end of the fifth round during the 2011–12 I-League
season. This would mean that the teams that play at the Cooperage Ground would need to look for a temporary ground.
