  • 1876 when the railroad is planned, Julia Obligado who is married to Pedro Claypole, donated the land for the local train station, which now bears their name.The arrival of the first train is now taken as the start of the town on April 15, 1884.
  • 1906, the first school "Ejército de los Andes", is opened at the home of a Mrs. Hebbel, and later on at the home of the Baile family.
  • 1935 the "Pequeño Cottolengo Argentino de Don Orione" school opens, transforming the previous school into a Christian center for the needy.
