the leaves of their host plant. The mine starts as a linear gallery occurring on the lower surface of the leaf and running mostly along leaf-veins. When it reaches the leaf-margin, it is broadened along the margin to form an elongate blotch. When full-grown, the mining part of the leaf is folded downward. Pupation takes place outside of the mine. The cocoon is boatshaped, ochreous in colour, and covered by two or three minute bubbles on the upper surface.
