. Honoring the best of the past year's independent, documentary and international film, the awards ceremony took place at the venerable Brattle Theatre
in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Guest speaker Lucas Belvaux
accepted four awards for his 2002 Trilogy as well as a Body of Work Award. Ellen Page
accepted the society's Breakthrough Award; and Vermont-based indie director John O'Brien
