Academics
In addition to the AP programs found at East, it is also home to the International Baccalaureate program. This program is run by Brian Madland, with help from Dr. Ernie Duran. The International Baccalaureate program is an advanced curricular course that encompasses all of a students core classes.Athletics
The East High School Football team won the state championship in 2007. The East Girl's Soccer Team also finished 2nd in the State in 2009. The East High Cheerleaders placed first in all-girl stunt and second in co-ed stunt in 2008 and 2010. The East High Lady Thunderbirds basketball team won the state title in 4A basketball against Laramie High School in 2010. In 2011, the Cheyenne East Boys Indoor Track team won the state title, with a one point victory over Laramie High School.East's Primary sport rival is Cheyenne Central High School.
