Challenge of Champions
Encyclopedia
This used to be one of the richest prize money tennis events in the world. It was usually held before the Masters and featured the top mens players in the world according to their ranking on the ATP pole. In 1985, the Challenge of Champions became a major player in professional tennis when 28 year old Mark Myden, the youngest producer in professional tennis history, introduced AT&T, VISA, Cadillac, Fila Sportswear, DeBeers Diamonds, and NBC to the International Challenge.
