Cenotaph is the fourth single by X Marks the Pedwalk, and the fifth by the duo Sevren Ni-Arb and Regan Eracs. At this time, Cenotaph was a turning point in the sound of X Marks the Pedwalk. Early X Marks the Pedwalk was often compared to fellow industrial musicians Skinny Puppy

, but by Cenotaph the band had begun to solidify its own sound. Sideline magazine commented: "Cenotaph is in the same taste of the wonderful Abattoir maxi. Like many of the preceding X Marks the Pedwalk singles, the song "Cenotaph" does not appear on any of the standard full-length releases. It does, however, make appearances on the compilations Four Fit and Experiences
