Catholic High School of Pointe Coupee is a Catholic Interparochial school in New Roads, Louisiana
. It was founded in 1904 by the Sisters of St. Joseph who were commissioned to bring Catholic education to Pointe Coupee Parish.
Also, the school like many Catholic Schools, was the first to accept African-American students after the Brown vs. the Board of Education (1954).
In 2005 and 2006, the School was host to many students from Hurricane Katrina

team made it to the playoffs. In 1978, the school's football team won the state championship. In the 2006 season, the football team finished fourth in the state. The boys power lifting team took home state championships in 1988, 1992, 2007, 2008 and 2009, while the girls won state in 1992, 2005, 2008 and 2009. The 1986 Baseball team won the state championship while the 2008 the Baseball team finished with a #6 ranking and made a quarterfinal appearance in the playoffs for the first time in over 6 years. In 2010 the Baseball won the district title and entered the playoffs ranked #1 overall. The Softball team won the district titles in 2007 and 2008 and has made the playoffs over 5 consecutive years.

History
Catholic of Pointe Coupee has been affiliated with the Sisters of St. Joseph since its conception. The school has been housed in several different buildings over its lifetime, beginning in a small four-room cottage on St. Mary Street, then moving up to a slightly larger building which would be destroyed by fire in 1929. Then the school moved into a large wood framed building donated by the Richey Family. The School/convent remained in that building until the early 1960s when a modern facility was completed on Fourth Street which houses the school to this day.Also, the school like many Catholic Schools, was the first to accept African-American students after the Brown vs. the Board of Education (1954).
