Established in 1994 in Pittsburgh

From 1998 until 2007, C-RS and The Andy Warhol Museum
presented an annual festival celebrating Rusyn culture alongside the art of Andy Warhol
, one of the most influential 20th century American artists, who was of Carpatho-Rusyn descent.
In 2004, the C-RS purchased the historic former St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cathedral at 911 Dickson Street in Munhall, Pennsylvania
, and converted it into the nation's first National Carpatho-Rusyn Cultural Center.
