Although she usually had less screen time than the male principal actors she had a key role. Whenever the male heroes would be stuck in an investigation, not knowing how to continue, she would use her skills as a hacker or just her female intuition to get them going and to let them succeed eventually.

In opposite to other characters who have left this series for good, "Andrea Schäfer" didn't die. Instead she married "Semir" (who is portrayed by Erdoğan Atalay) and returns therefore occasionally as guest star, provided her current engagements allow this.
