As well, like its sister stations CKRT and CFTF, CIMT has a second low-power transmitter (CIMT-TV-6) serving Rivière-du-Loup, as the topography of the area leads to poor reception of the main signal in the lower parts of the city. CIMT's main signal is on channel 9, while its second transmitter in Rivière-du-Loup airs on channel 6.

CIMT-TV has been approved by the CRTC for and has plans for converting all its transmitters to digital by the August 31, 2011 digital transition deadline, including its transmitters that are not required to convert by this deadline. Only its transmitters in Rivière-du-Loup are obligated to convert, as Rivière-du-Loup is a mandatory market for digital television conversion
