Magic had previously been available in Birmingham but was removed to make way in September 2007 for Heat Radio. Heat broadcasts at the reduced bit rate of 112 kbit/s Stereo. Magic 105.4 was removed in January 2011 and Kiss rejoined the multiplex at an increased bit rate of 128 kbit/s Stereo in order to comply with OFCOM regulations to allow Kiss to become a national station
