 with Route 37 It then splits off at Blackberry St., which becomes High Street upon entering Sarcoxie. After leaving the town, BUS I-44 angles northeast and ends at I-44. This road is part of former U.S. Route 166 which preceded I-44 through the area.

Mount Vernon business loop

Springfield business loop

Business Loop 44 in Springfield begins at the eastern terminus of Route 266 and runs east along Chestnut Expressway, intersecting U.S. Route 160 and Route 13. It then runs along the north edge of downtown Springfield. I-44 BUS turns north at Glenstone Avenue, bumping Business Route 65. It then ends where Glenstone meets I-44.

Lebanon business loop

Business Loop 44 in Lebanon begins at the westernmost Lebanon exit and ends at the eastern most exit. The route follows former U.S. Route 66 its entire length. Business I-44 follows Springfield Road, then curves off and becomes Elm Street. At Jefferson Street is a junction with Routes 5, 32, and 64.

Business I-44 continues into St. Robert, the lanes split with a Roadside Park between them. It pass on through St. Robert, ending at Exit 161, which is also the exit for Business Spur I-44.

Ft. Leonard Wood business spur

Business Spur 44 is a short route connecting Interstate 44 with the main north gate of Ft. Leonard Wood. The St. Robert stretch is lined with businesses and is called Missouri Avenue whose name continues into Ft. Leonard Wood. It is an old alignment of Route 17.

Rolla business loop

. This portion of road is designated a Business Loop after Interstate 44 was built to bypass the town. U.S. Route 50 was then rerouted onto Interstate 44, making this portion a Business Loop after US 66 was removed from the area in 1979. After the Business Loop's western terminus, the road continues solely as Historic U.S. Route 66 until an intersection with Route 100.
