Future plans

The current operational section is actually only a part of what it will be in the future, as it is being actively extended in both directions.
  • A 6.6 km extension from Seolleung to Wangsimni, including three entirely new stations, was scheduled to open in 2011 but has possibly been pushed back to June 2012. Construction signs showing both opening dates can be seen within Gangnam-gu Office Station. The link will intersect with a few lines in the Seoul Subway:
