Later this village was submerged in Brahmam sagar reservoir in 2005. Bommu family members started a registered trust and later started constructing the temple.In 2008 Garbhagudi (the main area where Narayana Swamy's Idol is present) is completed and moving towards expansion.Narayana Swamy is ilavelpu for Bommu's family and every year Bommu family members, relatives and other devotees will celebrate Swamy's utsava.

Brahmamsagar Reservoir
Sree Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy Reservoir is part of the Telugu Ganga irrigation project. Its foundation stone was laid by NT Ramarao. The project was completed during YS Raja Sekhar Reddy's term as chief minister. The reservoir has a capacity of 2 billion cubic meters.
