 was incorporated on February 8, 1910 and is celebrating its centennial from September 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010.

Uniform

The Boy Scout uniform was redesigned for 2010.

All rank patches (Including Eagle Scout and Arrow of Light) were redesigned to include 2010 for the Centennial Year. These patches were only issued to those who earn the respective rank during the Centennial year.

Centennial Handbook

For Boy Scouts of America centennial a new centennial handbook was released in July 2009. The handbook had many features returned that where removed years ago and put in to the BSA field handbook. Two new youth leadership positions were added: Webmaster and Leave No Trace instructor. The book is organized by topic now rather than by rank.

Merit Badges

Historical Merit Badge Program: Four historical merit badges will be available in 2010 only: Signaling, Tracking, Pathfinding and Carpentry

. These discontinued merit badges will be back with out change. A special patch will be released for each merit badges. The availability of these badges is official as of April 1, 2010.
