Geography

Low rolling hills are situated in the northeast and the Karkheh River runs close to the town proper. Water from this river is pumped regularly into the farmlands. Sand dunes and marshes are situated to the northwest, along with a narrow pass called Tang-e-Chazzabeh.

Economy

The town's main source of income comes from production of foods, livestock, and handicrafts. Buffalo, bull, camels, and sheep are regularly exported to other cities. Oil
