He is currently a member of the House's Civil Justice Committee and Finance Committee, and also serves on the Finance subcommittees for the Transportation and Transit Policy and Oversight Division and the Transportation Finance and Policy Division, of which he is vice chair.
Champion graduated from Minneapolis North High School, then went on to Macalester College
