. The main drop of the falls is about 90 metres and they cascade for another 230 meters to the base of the gorge.

. There is another road from Kennedy on the Bruce Highway

 but a section of this has been closed by the Cardwell Shire Council but the road is still in a drivable state. Blencoe Falls lookout is about 62 km west of Kennedy. The road from Kennedy soon changes from bitumen to a narrow and poorly maintained gravel road but about half way the road does improve again upon crossing a shire boundary.
