Arrival in the UK

In 2004 Billy was invited to come to the UK by Yamaha to ride in British Superstock Cup. That was on the back of a 3rd place finish in the Australian Superstock Championship despite missing the last 3 rounds.

In 2005 Billy competed in the Virgin Mobile Cup, winning that title and subsequently getting an offer to move up to the full Virgin Mobile Superbike team. Billy also won the Australian Young Sports Personality of the Year.
