On Thursday September 1st 2011, Bexleyheath School officially became Bexleyheath Academy. The move to Academy is set to bring new facilities such as a techno gym, recording studio, media suites and other state-of-the-art facilities to the school.

The school is located near to Bexleyheath and therefore benefits from access to several bus routes. The school field is of a large size, while landscaping and new car parking capacity created by the renovation project are fenced off.
