Wheatland is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 4,775 at the 2010 census. The town is home to Genesee Country Village and Museum.The Town of Wheatland is located in the southwest part of the county....

has been told by Carl F Schmidt, an architect, and George Engs Slocum, a local writer whose history of the town appeared in the very early twentieth century.

In 1952-1953, Schmidt wrote History of the Town of Wheatland: Scottsville Mumford Garbutt Belcoda Beulah Wheatland Center and published it in June 1953. The more titularly economical Slocum wrote Wheatland, New York in 1906; it was published posthumously in 1908.

Today

Beulah is that area centered on the intersection of North Road and Beulah Road, yet some contemporary maps incorrectly show it at the intersection of Beulah Road and Oatka Trail.
