Founder of U.B.C Global Entertainment, Ben Wynter worked his way up through the music industry ranks. Before the age of 22, Wynter worked with the Sony Records Street Team, interned for Chris Rock
in New York, and worked with A&R at Sanctuary Records
.
In 2004 Wynter was commissioned to facilitate the Urban Music Seminar. Co-hosted by Damon Dash
and Roc-a-fella Records
, the seminar was the largest urban event of its kind in Europe drawing an eager crowd of over 15,000 young people in two days that craved a desire to lean more about the creative industries from top professionals.
Alongside DKG/Coast Music, Wynter developed soul singer Rhian Benson
as an artist, paving the way for her to win numerous awards including a prestigious MOBO
award in 2005.
As well as overseeing the running of UBC Global Entertainment, Wynter currently sits on Boards including the London Week of Peace, DIASPORA Music Board and the Festival of youth arts.

Wynter gained a degree in Commercial Music at the University Of Westminster

In 1998 Wynter was exposed to the American work ethic and hustle as he spent time in New York interning at The Chris Rock Show. The experience gave Wynter his first taste of the fast moving world of entertainment in the states.

In 2004 Wynter was approached by the “Urban Music Seminar” to help plan and coordinate their annual event. The 2004 Urban Music Seminar was the biggest thus far; drawing a crowd of over 15,000 young people and co hosted by Damon Dash
and Roc-a-fella Records
, it also had its highest profile to date. This same year Wynter was approached by Coast Music/DKG to coordinate its forthcoming projects and to establish an artist development program for the label. With his job successfully done at Coast Music, Wynter embarked on a new challenge in 2007. Wynter secured a 2 year funding grant to help set up Origins Media, an online magazine and online edutainment portal. The magazine successfully drew more than 60,000 unique users to its website and successfully put on events to educate young people to the music and media industries. Origins was also commissioned to organize the London Week of Peace flagship event at Trafalgar Square which saw more than 13,000 young people attend and take a stand for peace in London. The event was so successful, that Wynter was invited to Downing Street
where then Prime Minister Gordon Brown personally thanked him for his contribution to the promotion of peace in London. In 2009 due to the recession the funding for Origins Media was not renewed and as such Wynter went back to what he knew best…. The music industry!

Wynter and his UBC Global Entertainment Company also represent the award winning producers Kray Twinz who secured a UK top 20 record with “What We Do” featuring Twista, Gappy Ranks and Lethal B. Wynter also represents critically acclaimed rock band “Deeds of the Nameless” as well as the much sought after rapper “Mark Henry” and Scandinavian producer “Hawkeye”.
In April 2010 Wynter began to manage the career of songwriter Charlotte Kelly who immediately provided the company with its first UK Number 1, as she wrote the topline for the Roll Deep

Of UBC Global Entertainment Wynter says “The UK has never had a management/label that understood urban youth culture and was able to market that properly. My goal is to be the first to do so. I’ve adopted the Rush Artist Management/Def Jam model and hopefully in time we can become the UK equivalent to Def Jam.”
Wynter currently sits on Boards including the London Week of Peace (an organization to promote peace in London), DIASPORA Music Board (An organization to bring about racial equality within the British Music Industry) and the Festival of youth arts (An organization to promote the arts amongst the young people of the UK.).

Young Talent Network and Boards
As well as overseeing the running of UBC Global Entertainment, Wynter also set up the Young Talent Network. It is a non for profit organization that provides an opportunity for members of the network, who include a mix of university students, college students and young professionals, to learn from the experiences of business leaders, senior executives, and other professionals from a variety of organisations and industries.Wynter currently sits on Boards including the London Week of Peace (an organization to promote peace in London), DIASPORA Music Board (An organization to bring about racial equality within the British Music Industry) and the Festival of youth arts (An organization to promote the arts amongst the young people of the UK.).
