Since then, he is occasionally used as a substitute, coming on for tired wing-men, or to come on as a fast, young impact player. He is a fans favourite with his committed forward runs, and confidence.

On the 9th November 2010, Ben scored his first senior goal for the club in an emphatic 6-3 win over Wycombe Wanderers.

Swallow scored his second goal for rovers in the next round of the JPT against Exeter.

On the 31st August 2011, Ben joined Bath City on a 3 month loan.
