. The first depot opened around March 1869 and was razed around 1903. The second depot opened August 10, 1903 and razed again around May, 1964 and the station stop itself discontinued in 1980. The station was located between Sayville and Blue Point Station

This vicinity apparently saw several teenage suicides recently. Recent victims include Emma Casey (15), a Bayport-Blue Point High School student, on 2005/6/13, who was struck and killed by a train between this location and McConnell Ave. In November 2004, a 14-year-old girl was killed when she walked in front of a LIRR train near the Snedecor Avenue crossing.
