Safety
Fire protection in Bayport is provided by the Bayport Volunteer Fire Department, located at 251 Snedecor Avenue. Besides fire protection, the Bayport Fire Department also responds on heavy rescue calls, water related emergencies, hazardous materials incidents and a first response for high priority EMS calls such as cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, choking, etc. EMS/Ambulance Service is provided by the Community Volunteer Ambulance Co. located in Sayville, which in addition to Sayville & Bayport- also covers the West Sayville, Bohemia and Oakdale communities.
