that connects Interstate 90
to downtown Erie, Pennsylvania

The construction of the Connector was broken up into different segments. The first segment, between Interstate 90 and McClelland Avenue, opened on November 21, 2003. The segment between McClelland Avenue and Broad Street was opened on November 4, 2004. The last section of the Bayfront Connector, from Broad Street to East 12th Street was opened on June 17, 2005 and was officially dedicated on June 24. Construction of the Bayfront Connector cost $180 million.
