The Battle of Vučji Do was a major battle that took place on 18 July 1876 in Vučji Do, Herzegovina
in Ottoman Empire
(modern-day Bosnia and Herzegovina
). The battle was fought between Montenegrins and Herzegovinians versus the Ottoman Turks. It resulted in a Montenegrin victory.
The Montenegrin forces, led by King Nicholas I heavily defeated Muktar Pasha's forces and captured and killed Osman Pasha and Selim Pasha. In addition, they captured a large consignment of weapons and ammunition.
