. The place is known for its local deity (Devi), which is worshipped by people who originally hail from around that area. There are families that have left the area generations back, and still come to worship the deity, especially after new birth and marriage in the family. Special festivities are organised at the time of Navratri.

As the myth goes, the buried idols of Devi Durga and Bhairav were found together from that place.

First banker (State Bank of Patiala) was introduced in the village by MAHARAJA AGGARSEN DHARMARTH PARISHAD (A NGO), when they built their Dharamshala in year 2010
