 on the way to Larne. The stationmaster's cottage lies on the disused down platform, now privately owned and well maintained. Trains run about once an hour.

Ballycarry station was opened on 1 October 1862.

Mondays to Saturdays there is an hourly service towards Larne Harbour or Belfast Central operated by Northern Ireland Railways

On Sundays there is a two hourly service in each direction.
