. This was a great season for WSR as they finished 2nd in the Teams and Manufacturers standings and Reid was the top WSR driver, finishing 4th. For 2003 the team was reduced to 3 cars for Reid, Turkington and Hughes, as the "Team Atomic Kitten" banner was droped after the end of the 2002 season. They finished 3rd in the Constructors and Teams standings - with 1 place down from 2002. After 3 seasons MG withdrawn their support for WSR in 2004, but the team still used 2 MG ZS for Reid and Turkington as an Independent team. Jason Hughes used a older ZS for his season. Without the works support of MG the team won the Independent Team Standings and 3rd place in the Team standings. Anthony Reid was again the best-placed driver, finishing 4th in the final standings and was crowned as Independent champion. With Turkington moving to VX Racing and the promised drive in DTM

. Team RAC(as it was known) made a great season with Turkington wining the Independents crown and 3rd place overall. However with the Super 2000 rules taking over the BTCC, the MG looked obsolete. Team RAC switched for 2007 on BMW 320si, thus ending 6 year partnership between MG and WSR. Kartworld racing still used 2 MG ZS running on bio-ethanol in 2007 and 2008.
