The Aurel Awards were an accolade by the Slovak International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (SNS IFPI) to recognize outstanding achievements in the music industry. The annual awards ceremony featured performances by nominated artists, and were originally presented by television. It was a Slovak equivalent to the Czech Anděl Awards

The last show, the 7th Aurel Awards that was broadcasted only by radio, was held on May 27, 2008 at Divadlo West, also in Bratislava, one year prior to the cancellation of the Slovak national section of the IFPI (on December 31, 2009), due to a financial crisis.
