Philosophy
In August 2009, after the Seton website deleted its domain name and bought the Assumption domain name (http://www.houstonassumption.org), the school's philosophy was posted on th website:
The philosophy of Assumption Catholic School is to create a community of faith and learning in which students can develop spiritually and intellectually. Our role as Catholic educators is to work in cooperation with the family and community to develop fully the potential of each individual student in a wholesome learning environment. Assumption provides a comprehensive curriculum combining traditional academic subjects, formal religious instruction, a wide range of ancillary programs, and opportunities for altruistic service in the community. Genuine effort is made to assure each student’s progress, to build self-confidence, and to create a healthy self-image while growing in maturity and responsibility.
