APM provides several qualifications:

APM Qualifications are designed with the intention of demonstrating to employers, clients and suppliers that the recipient is a skilled and committed project professional. Through alignment with IPMA's 4 level Certification programme they also aim to provide international recognition.

APM accredits training providers to offer training and development to help candidates to achieve APM qualifications.

Qualifications offer routes into APM membership. Automatic eligibility is offered for those obtaining the APM Practitioner Qualification (IPMA Level C) and discounted membership for the APM Introductory certificate and APMP.

Membership

APM offers membership for individuals, organisations, universities, colleges and other academic institutions. APM currently has over 19 000 individual members and 500 corporate members.

There are four grades of membership for individual members - student, associate, full member and fellow.

APM Registered Project Professional (RPP)

APM Registered Project Professional (RPP) is a professional pan-sector standard issued by the APM to project and programme management professionals. To obtain the RPP designation candidates must demonstrate the capabilities of a responsible leader, have the ability to manage a complex project and use appropriate tools, processes and techniques

The assessment process compromises of two stages: a portfolio of evidence application form and a professional review.
