By Road

From Chalakudy - Drive west from Chalakudy on the railway station road and continue on the road past railway station. Ashtamichira Junction is 10 km (6.2 mi) from Chalakudy north junction. At Ashtamichira junction, turning left takes you towards Mala and further towards Kodungallur

From Thrissur - Drive south from Thrissur on NH-47. At Kodakara junction take a right towards Mala. Ashtamichira junction is on the way to Mala through Aloor. Total distance- 36 km (22.4 mi).

From Cochin - Drive north from Cochin on NH-47. At Chalakudy, take a left towards railway station and travel 10 km. Total Distance- 55 km (34.2 mi)

From Mala - Drive north from Mala towards Trichur. Ashtamichira is on the way, 4 km down.

By Train

The nearest railway station in Chalakudy, which is 8 km away. Chalakudy is served by all major trains running through Kerala and is the best access to Ashtamichira for long distance travellers. An autorickshaw or taxi from the railway station will comfortably take you to Ashtamichira.
