The Sixth Form

Post-16 at Ashcroft provides students with a range of courses and teaching methods. The Sixth Form comprises Year 12 and 13 of around 150 students. Students need 7 A*-C in different subjects with a minimum of 4 B Grades at GCSE to progress onto Level 3 courses; however the International Baccalaureate students are required to have 8 A*-B Grades at GCSE.

The Sixth Form offers a wide range of courses including English Literature, Religious Studies, Computing, ICT, Drama, Music, Media Studies, Travel and Tourism, Health and Social Care, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Applied Science, Mathematics (Statistics, Mechanics and Further), Sociology, Geography, History, Product Design, Engineering, Psychology, Textiles, Art and Design, Law, and Business Studies. The Academy also provides the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

 and Young's (who sponsored the schools "music bunker"). In 2007, the school was converted into an academy and renamed Ashcroft Technology Academy after its main private benefactor. Marcus Barker took over as headmaster from David Durban who had been the second head appointed since ADT College's establishment in 1991. Joseph McInerney was the school's first headmaster.
