As The Lights Go Down is essentially the Arena video without the theatrical sequences, although the live footage for many songs was edited differently. This version was first aired on the Cinemax
cable television channel, and later on MTV
and other music channels. The concert was also shown on British television channel ITV, on the 30th December 1984 at 1700 hours. At least two versions exist.
DVDs of the video frequently appear on auction sites. These are all bootleg recording
s, as the program was never released on any consumer video media thus far. This is going to happen for the first time on DVD, as part of a reissue of the Seven and the Ragged Tiger
album scheduled for release March 2010.
Duran Duran's hit "Hungry like the Wolf" was featured in Rock Band 2. The track that was copied into the game, was the live version from as the lights go down.
