Career

When Reeves took the job in 1891 he knew he had a lot of work to do as Stoke finished the 1891-1892 season next to bottom of the First Division. But after some hard work and a lot of effort on Reeves part the players responded and at the end of the 1892-1893 season Stoke finished in mid-table.

Reeves brought in a number of local players and some players from Scotland
