from 1924, where he was a board member from 1937 and foreman 1951–1953. Hoffstad founded Høyres Bladeierforening in 1935, and was its foreman for 20 years. Hoffstad was foreman of Unge Høyre 1936–1940. He was foreman of the Norske Avisers Landsforbund
1952–1953, and a member and vice foreman of Avisenes Informasjonskontor 1954–1970. He was also a board member of Sandefjord
library for almost 20 years until 1971.
