, between November 2004 and September 2006.

On November 13, 2006 Erlandsen was hired as head coach of Ham-Kam, which currently plays in the Norwegian Second Division. June 11, 2009 he was fired due to many losses. The main reason for his departure was because many of his player's did not like his coaching methods, which can be characterized by a lot of physical training.

Despite his negative departure he managed to coach the team back into the Norwegian Premier League one time, before being sacked eight games into level two in Norway.

Many fan's and enthusiasts in HamKam now agree that the club would not be as far down in the division systems today in Norway if Arne had stayed. The reason for this hypothesis is because the players promised a better attitude after his departure but they did not improve and the club relegated to the second division with its new coach Vegard Skogheim, former HamKam hero. The player group under Arne were a strong team, they were predicted a OK season in which they would secure a place in the next year's Premier Division. This did not work, however.

In the middle of the 2010 season Erlandsen was appointet by Ull/Kisa as their new coach. He saved the club from relegation to Norwegian Third Division
