 had finished their quarrying operations the cranes they had used would have cost more to remove from the quarry than they would have made selling them. Because of this, they just left them in there and they are still there at the bottom of the lake.

Significance Of The Lake

The Aqua Sports lake is important to the local area because it is the only sailing centre in Reigate and Bansted, the borough of Surrey that Aqua Sports is located in. It also serves the borough of Tandridge because there are no watersports lakes in that area. During the school holidays, children are taken to Aqua Sports for water activity days organised by Lambeth Youth Service. It is also an affiliated centre to Sail4Cancer and is used by the local Sea Cadets

Yachting

Aqua Sports yacht charter is based in Port Hamble Marina, Southampton. The charter yacht is a Beneteau First 40.7 and is called “Rocket Dog". The yachts can be hired with or without a skipper for cruising or racing.
