reported that his father, Anthony Davis, Sr. asked Kentucky for $200,000 for a commitment from his son. The article was pulled from the website soon after it was published, but was reposted on the Sun-Times' website a few days later. The University of Kentucky and the Davis family have both threatened to sue the Sun-Times over the article. However, no lawsuits have been filed by Kentucky or the Davis family. According to the Sun-Times reporter responsible for the article, three other anonymous university coaches told the newspaper that Davis Sr. asked them for money for his son's commitment, with the dollar amounts ranging from $125,000–$150,000.

Personal life

Davis is the son of Anthony Davis, Sr. He has a twin sister, Antoinnete and an older sister, Iesha who plays basketball at Daley College.
