Education
- Dr. Gopalraju instituted a college here for B.A and B.Com streams, in English and Kannada mediums. It offers a B.B.M degree also. The college is currently in its 27th year. It is the only Government college in Anekal taluk. The college was in co-ed mode (girls and boys) till 2007, when it was converted to a girls-only college by Bangalore University and the College Development Community. The Bangalore University and the Karnataka Government subsequently allowed admission for boys. However, the ruling was neglected by the College. The Prajatare [www.anekal.ibibo.com] group launched a protest in Anekal. The protest was successful and boys have eventually been admitted to the college.
