He took some time to get into the first team after going out on loan to Lllanelli and Haverfordwest County. When he returned to Swansea he gained a place in the first team, being named the club's Player of the Year in Season 2002–03.

After appearing over 70 times for the Swans, he was shipped out on loan to Conference side Aldershot
