Dr Cooper writes and teaches in the areas of International Political Economy, Comparative and Canadian Foreign Policy, Global Governance and the Practice of Diplomacy, and is a regular commentator on the G8 and G20 summits. An experienced project leader, he has conducted numerous scholarly and policy studies in the areas of emerging economies (esp China, India, Brazil and South Africa), trade policy, agricultural subsidies and institutional designs. Dr Cooper has led training sessions on trade issues/governance/diplomacy in Canada, South Africa and at the World Trade Organization
