Lockwood attended Nepean High School

where she was heavily involved in theatre and competed on their improv
team at the Canadian Improv Games
in 2004 and 2005. After high school, Lockwood studied musical theater at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham, ME.
Lockwood moved to New York City
in 2006 as one of the youngest accepted students to Circle in the Square Theater School.
