and Amsterdam Centraal; a third track was built for these services in 1997. When a second suburban station, Amersfoort Vathorst
, was opened to the north of Schothorst in May 2006, it became the endpoint for those services that had previously terminated at Schothorst, leaving the third track free. However, since December 2007 this track has been used as the terminus for Intercity trains to and from Rotterdam Centraal
